Abstract

The soun noodle industry is one of the small industries located in Manjung Village, Ngawen District, Klaten Regency. The noodles industry uses chemicals in the processing process. Currently, the noodle industry produces liquid waste. The liquid waste comes from the soaking process of palm starch which uses chlorine. Liquid waste that enters the water can cause water pollution. Water pollution is an environmental problem that refers to the condition of water in the environment contaminated or polluted by hazardous materials. In this case, the Environmental Agency, which is the implementing element of government affairs in the environmental sector, carries out the task of supervising waste management. The supervision carried out by the Environmental Agency aims to prevent water pollution. This research aims to find out how the implementation of supervision carried out by the Environmental Service, whether there are obstacles and solutions to obstacles faced by the Environmental Service in conducting supervision. This research uses qualitative analysis methods. The qualitative analysis method is in the form of opinions, information or explanations from respondents and then the data can be processed. Conclusions drawn from the data analyzed using the deductive method, which draws conclusions from general matters to specific matters.
