Abstract

These days, the conditon ofMain Channel Mataram believed that it occurs indirectly performance degradationfeared could be a significant impact on the reduction ofagricultural productivity, although many otherfactors that also affect agricultural output. Ifthese factors can be identified, inventoried, and anticipate the Main Channel Mataram as the most valuable assets in the province of Yogyakarta and its performance can be maintained to support the sustainability offoodsecurity in Indonesia. This study aims to identify, inventory, find the factors that influence, and formulate recommendations Irrigation Network of Main Channel Mataram. The research data is secondary data obtainedfrom the relevant authorities in the province of Yogyakarta. As one method of decision making in this study using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This method can be used to assist in finding and determining the scale ofpriorities ofthe several options that exist or associated withfactors. The results showed that there are 4 (four) factors thought to cause irrigation system, which are geology, operation and maintenance, channels and building of irrigation, and human resources. The weight of the best action alternative activities of the four options proposed our AHP results, which are : rehabilitation of handling geological factor in the amount of 25%, infrastructure improvements in the amount of 15%, evaluation of human resources and organisation in the amount of 10%, and activities and cost of operatoin and maintenance in the amount of 50%.
