Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the supervision of the West Lombok Regency Environmental Service on the management of B3 waste of Bottled Drinking Water Companies, namely PT Narmada Awet Muda as an effort to prevent water pollution in West Lombok Regency and identify obstacles faced in the process. The research method used is empirical legal research that focuses on social facts where primary data is obtained from respondents and sources supported by secondary data. The discussion in this study includes the role of the West Lombok Regency Environmental Agency in supervising the management of B3 Waste and the contribution of PT Narmada Awet Muda in supporting effective supervision. The results show that despite the efforts of both parties, there are still various obstacles that hinder the effectiveness of supervision, including limited human resources and the lack of a third party as a B3 waste manager. This study suggests the need to increase the number of adequate human resources to overcome these obstacles and find solutions to overcome the difficulties of companies in managing B3 waste so as to reduce the occurrence of water pollution.
