Abstract

Waste management is a systematic, comprehensive, and continuous activity that includes waste reduction and handling. This study aims to examine the supervision of the Environmental Agency on waste management at Gamping Fruit dan Vegetable Market as an effort to prevent environmental pollution in Gamping District, Sleman Regency. The research method used is empirical legal research based on social facts. Waste management is an effort to prevent pollution as regulated in Law No. 32 of 2009 on Environmental Protection and Management. As part of pollution prevention efforts, there are government supervision programs. However, in this case, the Environmental Agency of Sleman Regency has not carried out either direct or indirect supervision of waste management at the Gamping Fruit and Vegetable Market.
