Abstract

Community participation in preserving the function of the environment is regulated in Article 67 of Law Number 32 of 2009. One form of preserving environmental functions is the implementation of the application of the Laudato Si principle at the Faculty of Law Atma Jaya Yogyakarta. Atma Jaya University, which is committed to the implementation of Laudato Si', needs to make regulations regarding the implementation of Laudato Si' at the University level so that the implementation of Laudato Si' can be realized and become real action. in practice, the implementation of Laudato Si' at Atma Jaya University Yogyakarta is still limited, especially in the level of student awareness, lack of supporting facilities for implementation, lack of student understanding of the concept of Laudato Si', and lack of student participation in Laudato Si' activities. To improve the implementation of Article 67 of Law Number 32 of 2009 through Laudato Si', the Faculty of Law Atma Jaya Yogyakarta needs to develop policies that are more integrated with the principles of Laudato Si', and involve students in more concrete and systematic sustainability programs. In addition, it is important to prioritize a holistic approach that includes education, policies, and concrete actions in preserving the environment at the faculty level.
