Abstract

vii ABSTRACT The management of household waste and waste similar to household waste is one of the important aspects in maintaining environmental cleanliness and public health. The government has regulated waste management through various laws and regulations. Specifically in Guwosari Village, the village government has regulated Guwosari Village Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning Management of Household Waste and Waste Similar to Household Waste in Guwosari Village. However, in its implementation, various problems are still found, including a lack of law enforcement and low public knowledge of applicable waste management regulations.This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of law enforcement on the management of household waste and waste similar to household waste in Guwosari Village. The research method used is an empirical research, by examining the applicable regulations and their implementation practices in the field. Data was obtained through interviews with village officials and the local community. The results showed that although there are regulations governing waste management, the implementation of law enforcement still faces obstacles, such as limited facilities and infrastructure in implementing education and socialization related to applicable village regulations, lack of supervision, and low public understanding of regulations. Therefore, more optimal efforts are needed, both in terms of regulations and implementation in the field, such as increasing public awareness, strengthening the role of apparatus in law enforcement, and providing adequate waste management facilities
