Abstract
This research discusses the role of the Semarang City Land Office in resolving disputes over multiple land certificates. In addition, this study also discusses how the land office in identifying multiple certificates and how to overcome the obstacles that exist. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Semarang city land office in resolving multiple certificate disputes. This research method uses empirical data obtained through interviews. The results showed that the role of the land office in resolving dual land certificates using two ways, namely by mediation, if the parties agree then administrative efforts will be made, but if the parties do not reach an amicable agreement then resolved by legal channels. The role of the land office in identifying and overcoming the obstacles of multiple land certificates is by plotting.
