Abstract

This study aims to determine an attempt of Diversion according to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2012 Concerning The Juvenile Criminal Justice System in the case of children as group IV psychotropic abusers in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. This research uses normative research methods using the application of laws, case studies, and conceptual approach. The legal analysis uses a deduction method that connects drug abuse crimes in accordance with Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Child Criminal Justice System, Law number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection, and Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning psychotropic. From the legal research that has been carried out using the methods mentioned above, it can draw conclusions in the form of how effective Diversion is in the case of children as psychotropic abusers of group IV.
