Abstract

The writing of law with entitled Consumers Protection of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) in train accident (case studied Prameks Train Accident in Kecamatan Kalasan, Kabupaten Sleman) is to studied how responsibility of PT KAI to victims of Prameks accident in Kacamatan Kalasan, Kabupaten Sleman. The type of this research is empirical legal research. The approach used in this research method was sociological jurisprudence. Examines, how the norm are implemented in the society. In the reality, PT KAI as transport provider has not been fullfil the responsibility to the victims with maximum. Besides, the victim are consumer or passanger have right must been protect by PT KAI, such as rehability of victims, medical fees, and compensation of goods, as long the accident caused operational of transport provider. Within responsibility for consumer or passangers of Prameks will be increased believeness of consumer to PT KAI as transport providers.
