Abstract

Within national development implementation, required the participation of all parties, including persons with disabilities especially physical disability. Physical disability also part of state community who have right and obligation like other people. One of those rights is the right in the economic aspects, such as the right to work and obtain legal protection in employment. Based on description above, author got interested to conduct study with title Implementation of Legal Protection for Physical Disability Worker on Yayasan Penyandang Cacat Mandiri Kabupaten Bantul. Meanwhile, the problem formulation will be studied was how the implementation of legal protection for physical disability worker on Yayasan Penyandang Cacat Mandiri Kabupaten Bantul. The type of this research is empirical legal research. The approach used within this research method was sociological jurisprudence. Examines how the norms are implemented in society. The legal protection implementation for physical disability worker on Yayasan Penyandang Cacat Mandiri Kabupaten Bantul had been given, indicated by several implementation had performed till now, such as provide accessibility, work tools, and self-protector equipment, as regulated in in the labor laws. However, there are still some problems related the implementation of the legal protection, the problem is difficulty to implementation that protection with maximum, caused lack of fees, the role of government, the awareness of workers and public participation. For solving this problem, then Yayasan Penyandang Cacat Mandiri Kabupaten Bantul attempt to constantly refining the legal protection of physical disability worker. In addition, the role of the government and public is needed to solving this problem.
