Abstract

The Indonesian National Police is a law enforcement agency that serves to maintain order and uphold the law and build a public tranquility, and the service and protection for the community. Police in their duty to form a team called the investigating officers in which there are options that meet certain requirements. Narcotics investigator in the crime have an important role, because the investigator in carrying out its functions relate directly to the public, therefore it may be easier for investigators to control drug crime is a close relationship with the community. That caused a convenience for the investigators in obtaining information and evidence that needed in a narcotics case. Besides that, the investigator in carrying out its role as well make another attempt to use a preventive way against the public about drug crime, and cooperate with related government agencies to control narcotics.
