Abstract

This research aimed to know the role of female society self-supporting institution as the attendance of the victims of criminal act of domestic violence and to know the barriers faced by the female society self-supporting institution in the process of legal enforcement in the criminal act of domestic violence. This legal writing used normative legal research, i.e. research focused on the norms (law in the book) and this research needs secondary data as primary data. Method of data collection was conducted by normative legal research, i.e. literary study and interview with source person. Normative legal knowledge has 5 tasks, i.e. description of positive law, systematization of law, analysis, legal interpretation, and value of positive law. The result of research after conducted research from any books and based on interview is female society self-supporting institution has important role in helping the victim of domestic violence. Female society self-supporting institution is not only attend from the initial case, merely in legal process, however it also conduct any attendance in psychological and spiritual, medical, and social economy. The conclusion could be drawn from the result of this research is that the role of female society self-supporting institution give positive impacts to the victim of domestic violence, i.e. the victim can understand more on what and how the victim should conduct, and the victim of criminal act of domestic violence is not afraid and can be braver to report and file the violence case happened through legal procedure.
