Abstract

This thesis titled "The Effect of Medical Statement's Letter Toward the Court of Corruption Crime". the main reason for writer to use this title is difficulties which arise during investigation by law's upholder, for many suspected person of defendant use the letter to evade the court. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the medical statement's letter effect the court of corruption crime or not. This research using normative research method, where in this method is intensed on the norm (law in the book), with secondary data as a main data. As a research of the research, the medical statement letter does not effect the court of corruption crime because the court can be held without the presence of the suspected person or defendant (in absentia). However, the judge can use the letter as an oppinion to delay the court. After doing the research, writter come up with suggestion for readers to think of. first of all, the law's upholder should carrefully check the letter and the real condition of the suspected person or defendant. Secondly, the honesty and intergrity of medical department such doctors and hospitals is necessary needed to get the real condition of the the suspected person or defendant.
