Abstract

Eyes are one of the human senses are very important , so the eyes should be maintained in everyday life . Effort to cure eye diseases in the country is plagued inadequate number of doctors and the medical system is less organized . Currently an eye doctor should treat approximately 250,000 patients with eye diseases . Problems of shortage of ophthalmologists occur also in Sikka district . The lack of medical infrastructure and health services away places that the community must megeluarkan more funds to check their health . This will certainly weigh on some people who have a low economic background . Based on the above problems , the authors developed an expert system based on SMS Gateway that can help people to diagnose eye diseases so that people can take immediate measures to tackle the disease . To deal with the fuzziness of data systems using fuzzy logic . Based on the results of tests performed on 30 patients / people who are or have had eye disease , it can be concluded that this system can contribute , both patients and physicians to make a diagnosis.
