Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to answer two problems. First, what was the prevailing law dealing with land ownership right for housing to the victim of Mount Merapi in 2010. Second, the victim already have legal certainly in owning the lands for housing? This research was empirical legal research which focuses on the society’s acts. This research needs primary data as its main data beside the secondary data. The data analysis used was the qualitative data analysis in which the analysis was based in the understanding and the systematic data analysis by conducting an interview and library research. The condusion can be made based in the data analysis by using inductive thinking method. It could be concluded that there was on regulation dealing with land ownership right for housing the holders of land ownership right from Tanah Kas Desa have already had legal certainty since they have already had certificates which the other holders have not had legal certainty.
