Abstract

This research intends to determine the coaching patterns of the prisoners in Kabanjahe class II B detention center so they do not repeat any convict or criminal acts again after finished the coaching period where it conducted in accordance with the penal system as contained in Article 1 paragraph 2 law no. 12 of 1995 concerning correctional facilities. This research is a normative legal that located in Kabanjahe karo, North Sumatra district class II B state custody detention center, type of data are secondary data. Data collection techniques used documents study, either from books, rules, and archives. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis with interactive models. This research obtained results that the coaching of the recidivists who performed at the Kabanjahe class II B detention centers is the same with recidivist’s first time coaching period, largely done in-house coaching Kabanjahe prisoners are divided into two coaching; personality and independence.
