Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing Indonesian government efforts in giving law protection for manpower in facing the globalization era. That analysis was intended to know how for the Indonesian statutes or laws have arranged on manpower and other efforts used by the government overcome problem of manpower dealing with globalization. The data analysis carried out by comparing general regulation of I O (International Labour Organization) with Indonesian regulation on manpower. This is a normative legal research, and the data were collected by library research and field research in for of interview. The research result indicated that in general legal protection facing globalization of manpower has been arranged but those regulation have not been implemented because the government has not arranged them in executing regulation for those regulation. Even the control and enforcement of those regulation were very weak Some important things that should be seriounly paid attention by the government in giving legal protection for Indonesian manpower in frais manpower globalization based on this research are. the existence of deregulation and the forming of new regulations dealing with the program of foreign manpower placement and the incrense of control of those regulation.
