Abstract

This topic is about delinquency of the street children and the preventive efforts in Province of DIY. Several causes delinquency of the street children in Province of DIY and the preventive effort be the focus in this topic. In this research the writer use normative juridical method, so that is the core of this research focus by norm and the data are the secondary ones supported by the interview result in The Department Social in Province of DIY. For analis metode the writer use qualitative analis. The opinion method, the writer use deduktif opinion method. The street children delinquency, generally refers and leads into the realm of criminal acts, supported by the absence of parental supervision from their parents. The Department of Social in Province of DIY discover many kind preventive effort to solve delinquency of the street children. But the problem is the lack of participating the social worker and the awareness of public, because public always assume that the street children make a negative impact in the life of society.
