Abstract

Several studies found that mentors provide three functions: a "coaching" function, a "social support" function and a "role modeling function" for proteges. This study aims at examining that three functions have correlation with proteges intention to stay with their organizations. In addition, this study also attempted to examine whether mentoring activities differ across protege categories. The respondents of the study are the accounting of the public accounting offices. There are 147 individuals participated in the study. The data analysis is conducted using a Pearson Correlations, Chi-Square and Independent Sample t-test. Results of the study show that three men?toring activities have significant relation with proteges turnover intention.
