Abstract

Role of the police in preventing minors driving a motor vehicle on a public road Yogyakarta special region. purpose of this study was to determine the role of the police in preventing minors driving a motor vehicle on public roads and to know what are the obstacles constraints faced by the police in preventing minors driving a motor vehicle on public roads in Yogyakarta special region . This research method using the method of literature study books , laws and through direct interviews with the parties directly involved in preventing minors driving a motor vehicle . the results of the study , the police prefer the pre - emptive action , or in other words the prevention , socialization and guidance to the minors to learn and understand the rules on the road , but the police also take action to enforce repressive laws and remind children No underage law enforcement officers on the street . constraints faced by the police while the police are often regarded as an enemy or a dangerous ghost street and should be avoided rather than regarded as a savior on the road
