Abstract

The title of this legal research is "effort Sleman Resort Police in preventing and repressing practice football online gambling". background on which to base this legal research is, Sleman Resort Police efforts to prevent and repressive the practice of online gambling in Sleman regency. purpose of this study to determine the Sleman Resort Police efforts to prevent and repressive the practice of online gambling and what the barriers are, as well as one of the requirements to earn his law degree at the faculty of law of, Atma Jaya Yogyakarta.the method used in the writing of this research is using normative methods. the results of this research is that information and communication technology tools developed at this time have adverse effects that lead to crime one of is online football gambling practices, especially in the area of Sleman District. Sleman Resort Police have an obligation to prevent and repressive this problems but Resort Police Sleman have constraints in performing their duties. and Sleman Resort Police will continue to strive to practice this gambling missing from society.
