Abstract

The title of the study is a review of juridical law on the criminalization of the drug addicts. formulation of the problem which will be investigated in this paper is whether the imposition of criminal sanctions against drug addicts legally compliant. The results of the study of law is a criminal prosecution against drug users still use criminal sanctions when rules regarding prison drug addicts have been set in the Law No. 35 of 2009 on narcotics which states that addicts and drug abusers are required to conduct medical rehabilitation and social rehabilitation, punishment a process for determining the sanction to be given to a law-breaker and the Indonesian criminal law regulating criminal sanctions and measures, should be sanctioned drug addicts in rehabilitation measures so that he can obtain relief from dependence on drugs such as if he was a criminal case it will not help to repair yourself a drug addict.
