Abstract

The growth of society also induce motive of crimes such as motorcycle gangs criminal offensive which are mugging, persecution and murder. Combating criminal offenses committed by motorcycle gangs can be either preventive or repressive. it is the task of the police as stipulated in Law No. 2 of 2002 on the National Police, especially Yogyakarta Region Police. Preventive efforts which is done by Yogyakarta Regional Police is directed counseling to adolescents in school while a repressive efforts against criminal arrests made by the motorcycle gang, patrol and sweeping is done regularly. Police Countermeasures for the crimes committed by motorcycle gangs still encounter obstacles such as lack of infrastructure and facilities and the lack of pre-operating costs.
