Abstract

In this thesis writer discussed about BPSK (Consumer dispute completion firm) role in resolving consumer dispute by mediation at Yogyakarta. The purpose of this thesis are to find BPSK role to resolving consumer dispute and find mediator problems also solutions to resolving this problem. The method of this research is empirical law, the empirical research law are doing interview directly to informant and respondents, the fundamental data supported by primary data consisting of a law facts and secondary data. The sources of the data in this research were obtained from field studies and literature study. The data which were obtained from literature study as well as in field studies using quantitative analysis. Based on the analysis that had been done by the writer, the writer can sum up as follows: BPSK don’t have authority to force each one individual who have a legal dispute to participation in this mediation process. The way to resolving the mediator problems are user and the business man must make an agreement by each people in BPSK Yogyakarta.
