Abstract

The rise of students violence in the city of Yogyakarta will deface the reputation the city of Yogyakarta as a student city and town cultural which implications of declining interest of students from outside the region to study in the city of Yogyakarta and at once the loss existence of the culture city of Yogyakarta. Reality shows that student violence in the city far more than the acts of violence committed in the rural students. The Reality shows that students violence in the city of Yogyakarta has increased almost every year, so it takes a serious treatment of the relevant agencies. The Police of Yogyakarta should give the attention to the best interest of the student in prevention each student violence. In this research focuses on how to prevented students violence prevention and obstacle who be faced the Police of Yogyakarta toudents prevent . This research uses a normative study that focuses on the positive legal norms in the form of legislation and supported several other legal materials as a reference as well as several speakers who have competence in the field of student violence. To analyze the data that has been collected using qualitative analysis methods to infer deductively that originated from the preposition that the truth had been known, and ends at the conclusion of a special nature. Yogyakarta Police in tackling violence seeked students with penal policy and non penal policy, although in reality more emphasis on preventive measures of repressive measures, so it is not uncommon violence meetings are being resolved and consensus, but to a certain student violence resulting in injuries weight and / or death will still be processed through the courts.
