Abstract

One of the many crimes in cyberspace is Cyber sex . Cyber sex often encountered in cyberspace , especially in the form of pictures and videos as well . This was driven by advances in information technology as well as the medium of communication that allows the performance of the computer that is the Internet. Internet can be accessed through computers, mobile phones and other communication media that has been used in the environment. Because of those things, the formulation of the problem that the authors think about is the effort and the constraints faced by Police of DIY in solving the cyber sex in cyberspace. In this paper the authors conducted an empirical law research which is research based on primary data as the main data of this study. Source of data in this study is composed of primary and secondary data sources. The data that obtained from the results of the study will be analyzed with qualitative methods, namely by way of interpretation of the data obtained from various sources using the inductive method of reasoning. Prevention efforts in cyber sex committed by police of DIY in two ways, which are preventive and repressive. There are many things that do not support such a budget and facilities are not perfect so it is difficult for the police to solve these problems. Because of that, there’s still needed a support in the facilities thing from the local government for the police of DIY so they can solve this cyber crime cases up.
