Abstract
This research is entitled Combating abortion a criminal offense committed by the police special region of Yogyakarta . The problem of this research is the efforts made by the Police Special Region of Yogyakarta in tackling the crime of abortion and the constraints faced by the Police of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in making abortion a criminal offense countermeasures against criminal abortion . This research was conducted by the authors with the aim of which is to investigate the implementation of the crime of abortion prevention by the Police of the Special Region of Yogyakarta to criminal abortion and to know the constraints faced by the Police of the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the implementation of the crime of abortion countermeasures against criminal abortion. The conclusion of this study is the crime of abortion cases still occur in the jurisdiction of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Police among others in the region Kulonprogro Police, Police Wonosari, Bantul, Yogyakarta and Police, but not obtained complete data yan how many cases occurred within a few months or last year. Criminal cases abortions that occur in the region of Yogyakarta Special Region Police law is done by traditional means with the help of non-medical personnel seberti shaman, with direct scraping fetus or to provide traditional herbs that are believed to kill the fetus in the womb Promiscuity that led to free sex behavior be the cause of the crime of abortion but it is also caused by unwanted pregnancies due to economic reasons. Police Special Region of Yogyakarta still find ads circulation dark to offering abortion services openly that usually taped-intersection highway intersection but until now the Police Special Region of Yogyakarta is still difficult to prove against the dark ads.
