Abstract

Violence in domestic according to Statute Number 23 Year 2004 about abolition of domestic violence are every deed to someone especially women, causing misery and suffering in physical, sexual, psychological and/ or domestic neglected include threat to forcefulness or independence hijack by against law in domestic scope. Pursuant to reality in Sleman, natural victim of domestic violence which is a lot of is wife. Therefore this situation needed a protection form to wife as a victim of domestic violence. This research using normative type of research focusing at norm and law substance which is used as prime data is Domestic Violence Abolition Statutes. The prime data used as a guidance to obtain data about knowledge of implementation Domestic Violence Abolition Statutes to wife protection as violence victim in domestic is case study in Polres Sleman. Pursuant to above description, therefore can be taken conclusion in execution of Statute Number 23 Year 2004 about abolition of domestic violence is not optimal yet in giving law's protection to wife for violence victim in domestic. Constraints faced in Domestic Violence Abolition Statute implementation in giving law's protection to wife as the victim of domestic violence is lack of socialization Domestic Violence Abolition Statute that the victim not comprehend the content of Domestic Violence Abolition Statute
