Abstract

This study discusses law enforcement by national police against the crime of motor vehicle theft with violence in district of Sleman. Police as one of law enforcement officers have to work hard in the enforcement of the law against such crime, so that peace and security in the community is maintained and preserved. This study focuses on the problem of how law enforcement by the police and what the constraints faced by the police in enforcing the law against the crime of motor vehicle theft with violence in district of Sleman. The purpose of this study was to obtain data about law enforcement by the police and the constraints faced by the police in enforcing the law against the crime of motor vehicle theft with violence in district of Sleman. This type of research in this study is a normative legal research, the research done by examining secondary data. Thinking method used in the conclusion is the deductive method, the method of withdrawal conclude which starts from a general proposition whose truth is known and ends at the conclusion of a special nature. The result of the research showed that law enforcement by the police against the crime of motor vehicle theft with violence in district of Sleman is by means of penal policy and non penal policy. Constraints faced by the police in enforcing the law against the crime of motor vehicle theft with violence in district of Sleman is there are obstacles in the police agencies, and outside police agencies.
