Abstract

The titile of this legal writing is “LEGAL ASPECT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS GARBAGE MANAGEMENT LANDFILL IN BANTARGEBANG BEKASI”. This type of research is empirical legal research. Empirical legal research is a study that focuses on the behavior of the community. Legal issues rised are: how the responsibility of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Governments and Bekasi City Governments related to the garbage management Landfill in Bantargebang Bekasi and what obstacles faced by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Governmentsin the garbage management Landfill in Bantargebang Bekasi.The purpose of this research is to find out the Local Government responsibility in garbage management and obstacles faced by DKI Jakarta Provincial Governments related to the garbage management Landfill in Bantargebang Bekasi.The research findings shows that the responsibility of DKI Jakarta Provincial Governments against garbage management Landfill in Bantargebang descended directly Dinas Kebersihan DKI Jakarta to Unit Pengelola Sampah Terpadu Bantargebang Dinas Kebersihan DKI Jakarta.The responsibility of Bekasi City Governments only limited supervision and monitoring of the garbage management Landfill in Bantargebang Bekasi.The obstacles faced many scavengers who work in Bantargebang, lack of heavy equipment, and lack of disinfectant spraying. It is recomended that the responsibility of Bekasi City Governmentas a ruler of the territory not only limited to the supervision of the course. And in addition, DKI Jakarta Provincial Governments must immediately make Landfills in the city of Jakarta.
