Abstract

The goals of this research are(1) to know whether the production process of trash bins are in quality control limit, (2) top know the defective level (%), PPM, and Sigma of trash bin product, (3) to indentidy the defects that often occur on products, (4) to indentify the major causes of those defects, and (5) calculate the trash bin's product yield. The first finding of this research was there wa sno indication that the production process were out of control although in some parts it was near the lowes threshold. Other findings proved that the PPM, defective level, and Sigma of trash bin products were below standard. The assembling process was the part that caused most of the defective products. It was due to human error and lack of support from the working enviroment. The las finding of this research is the yield of the trash bin product can be used to explain the productivity of the production process.
