Abstract

Nowadays, government is putting forward contruction, not only focuses on the implementation of the infrastructure but also manages the investors who invest in Indonesia for bussinesses. All the bussinesses must have permit which is regulated in the licensing system. Every building that want to build or be renovated must have the Building Permit. The long procedure of issuing permit and the number of requirements that so many and also the retribution which is should be paid is not small, make some developer/entrepreneur/society breaks the rules with keeps building buildings whereas the Building Permit hasn’t been issued yet, this is clearly a violation so it needs a supervision. In Sleman regency, the implementation of supervision of Building Permit is done by Public Works Service, Housing and Residential Areas of Sleman Regency. Based on that background description, then it’s formulated a title of research about the supervision of the Public Works Service, Housing and Residential of Sleman Regency toward buildings without Building Permit. In order to know the supervision of the Public Works Service, Housing and Residential of Sleman Regency toward buildings without Building Permit and to know the obstacle for the Public Works Service, Housing and Residential of Sleman Regency in supervising buildings without Building Permit, the method which is used is empirical law research. This method focus on social facts about the supervision toward the buildings without Building Permit in Sleman Regency. Data analysis which is used in this research is qualitative analysis, that the data is obtained from research is served and processed in qualitative. According to the result, the supervision is not maximal due to the limit of time and the human resources. There are many buildings in Sleman Regency especialy Turi Sub- District and Cangkringan Sub-District without Building Permit yet, because the lack of socialization from the government.
