Abstract
The Lost World Castle is 'a building formed from magma rock. The shape ofthis building resembles an ancient fortress. This building stands on a private land of 1.3 hectares and has been open since January 2017. Distance ofcastle location to the top ofMount Merapi about 6 kilometers. Sleman district goverment requested that the construction be stopped because it violates Sleman district regulation number 2 year 2015 about the change ofregiobal regulation num..ber 5 year 2011 about building building and violating the regulation odpresidency ofrepublic of Indonesia number 70 year 2014 about spatial plan ofMerapi mourztain national park area and not equipped permission. From the normative research conducted found that today The Lost World Castle is still open for tourists even without permission. It becomes problematic especially for local goverment in taking action to solve problematic law experienced by related parties. There is no clarity on whether the goverment will close or let The Lost World Castle remain openfor tourists. For it needs assertiveness from the local goverment, whether to make firm action in the form of closure or tolerate by giving permission based on existing prcedures.
