Abstract

The title of this legal writing is Business Actors Responsibility for Beauty Services In The Field Of Eyelash Extension To Fulfill Consumer Rights (Principles Of Safety, Security, And Legal Certainty). The development of a beauty business that is fast and in accordance with the times is certainly very attractive for women from various circles to improve their appearance. So women certainly want to look attractive in their daily lives. The increasing number of beauty businesses that provide eyelash extension services has resulted in competition for beauty services businesses to gain profits. This thing can be seen by the price discounts, promotions, product samples, and testimonials from each beauty service businessman to attract consumers but based on the results of research and facts in the field, there are many discrepancies between product promotions. The proof is there are various complaints by consumers who feel dissatisfied with the results received after doing eyelash extention on beauty services. Complaints experienced such as eye irritation, loose eyelashes, or swelling. These things are certainly deviations from consumer interests as regulated in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection. This research aims to find out whether the form of business actors accountability to consumers who are disadvantaged in eyelash extension beauty services is in accordance with the provisions of the consumer protection law. This legal writing uses empirical research methods that focus on social facts regarding the responsibilities of beauty business operators for eyelash extension services. The results of this research is consumers can ask for responsibility and compensation due to losses in accordance with the provisions stipulated in the consumer protection law, article 19 section 1, 2, and 3, and article 58 of Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health.
