Abstract

Pedicab are the three-wheeled transportation modes that we commonly encounter in Indonesia. Along with the development of Pedicab which used to be pedaled only now, many use motorized engines as their driving force or often referred to as Motorcycle Pedicab. We find many Motorcycle Pedicab in the city of Yogyakarta even though their existence in the city of Yogyakarta is still illegal because of the modification of Motorcycle Pedicab that do not comply with the roadworthiness standards of motorized vehicles in Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning traffic and road transportation, therefore the authors wanted to know the efforts and obstacles faced by the Yogyakarta city police in implementing the law number 22 of 2009 concerning road traffic and transportation to motorcycle Pedicab not feasible in Yogyakarta by conducting empirical legal research so that its existence must be acted upon by the police as law enforcement so that roadworthy motorcycle Pedicab no longer operate in Yogakarta, especially in the Malioboro area so as not to endanger road users and motorized becak users in Yogyakarta with the enforcement of penal policy and non-penal policy by the Yogyakarta city police.
