Abstract
The title of undergraduate thesis is the Actions of the Yogyakarta Communication and Informatics department in Protecting and Realizing the Safety of Personal Data of Consumer of Online Transportation Applications users. The formulation of the problem used is what actions can be carried out by the yogyakarta communication and informatics service in protecting and realizing security, safety of the interests of the personal data of consumers of online transportation application users. The research method used is the empirical legal research method, namely the method of identification is not written with legal effectiveness, namely to what extent the law applies in the reality of social life. The result of the research on the actions of the yogyakarta municipal communication and informatics department in protecting and realizing the security of personal data during the interview conducted at the yogyakarta municipal communication and informatics department were not authorized to realize the security and safety of the personal data of consumers of online application users. Conclusions drawn from the writing that the actions of the yogyakarta municipal communication and informatics department can only accommodate public complaints and ensure the security of personal data and safety of confidentiality only if there are complaints from the consequences of losses experienced or received by consumers of service users.
