Abstract

Research on pattern formation Penitentiary inmates in Yogyakarta Wirogunan aims to identify and examine patterns of development Wirogunan prison inmates in Yogyakarta since inmates have different backgrounds, and the suitability of the pattern of development of inmates with Law No. 12 Year 1995 on Corrections. Research is normative legal research, by doing library research to obtain secondary data as data headliner. This is because legal research is normative then used to measure qualitative analysis focused on the substance of the reasoning process used in drawing conclusions deductive reasoning method, derives the major premise submission form filing laws then the minor premise that legal fact, from these later withdrawn conclusion. The results of this study are: (1) Although inmates are grouped by type of crime, but the pattern of fostering implemented with the same pattern. Educational background is not made the basis of coaching the inmates. The shape of the coaching is done by Corrections Yogyakarta Wirogunan IIA Class are: (a) personality development: intellectual, physical and spiritual, (b) independence: self employment training, nature must not merely filling time, (c) skills: making shoes, furniture, silk screening, haircuts, make a mat. Guidance to inmates must be in accordance with the educational background that is owned by the inmates. This meant that the knowledge that has been acquired during their education convict before he became a prisoner is not lost. In addition, it will be able to equip the inmates soon after they came out of the prison, as well as (2) Pattern formation in Prison Class IIA Wirogunan Yogyakarta is not in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 12 Year 1995 on Correctional because there is still discrimination that is in Prison inmates it against the rules, if the inmate is initially had standing as prisoners of corruption, was only given a warning letter, but when another inmate offense can be punished more heavily. As an example of such offense caught carrying HP.
