Abstract

The problem discussed in this thesis was On May 8, 2018 the United States withdraw from JCPOA. This action led Iran reduce their commitment to JCPOA and develop uranium which could threaten Iran's nuclear settlement. The aim of the research is to find out how the implications based on international law are the actions of the United States to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) in resolving Iran's nuclear dispute. This thesis used a normative research method in which the source of datas were collected through literature study and through interviews with sources. The analysis used was the analysis in deductive method. From the analysis result, it can be concluded that the implication based on international law for the actions of the United States is that the United States could be subject to military or non-military sanctions from the UNSC, the resolution of the Iranian nuclear dispute has become unfinished and the goal of totally eliminating nuclear weapons is hampered. The actions of the United States make negotiations no longer provide legal certainty for all countries that want to make international agreements, especially with the United States.
