Abstract
This Thesis is discusses about The United Nations role in law enforcement of Human Rights Protection. As an organization that is fully committed to human rights its become a liability to UN for taking a part in the enforcement of human rights.The Method that is used is normative method, by literature study. Finally, the result of the research is that United Nations has assisted in religious freedom, encourages Indonesia to strengthen the Human Rights Institute as National Human Rights Commission,established ICIET and UNAMET to assist East Timor solve human rights cases and objectify the referendum of East Timor.UN also insist Indonesia to conduct a dialogue with the Papuan residents in order to resolve the issue of human rights violations in Papua.The researcher gives solutions that is improving laws / regulations regarding the protection and enforcement of human rights in Indonesia formed a special mission to resolve the issue of human rights violations in Papua.
