Abstract

The title of this research is the Extradition of Persons Trafficking in Persons between Indonesia and Singapore in terms of the ASEAN Convention Against Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children. Trafficking in persons as an extraordinary crime has threatened the countries of Indonesia and Singapore as strategic trading areas in Southeast Asia, so there is a need for a strict legal rule to crack down on trafficking in persons in Indonesia and Singapore. The purpose of this study is to find out how the extradition of traffickers between Indonesia and Singapore according to the ASEAN Convention Against Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children. This writing uses a normative writing method that focuses on laws and regulations relating to extradition, trafficking in persons, and international treaties. The conclusion of this study is that Indonesia and Singapore can implement an extradition agreement for traffickers based on the ASEAN Convention Against Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children, even though the two countries do not have a bilateral extradition agreement.
