Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the implementation of land acquisition for the construction of the Bengkulu-Lubuk Linggau Toll Road has provided legal protection for holders of land ownership rights in land acquisition in Bengkulu City and to find out the obstacles that arise in land acquisition for the construction of the toll road. Compensation for the acquisition of land owned by individuals covering an area of 812.31 hectares (Ha) for the construction of the Bengkulu-Lubuk Linggau Toll Road in Bengkulu, Bengkulu Province has been given to people whose land has been affected by the development. Compensation is given in the form of money and compensation is given through the BRI bank, the compensation funds are directly transferred by the BRI bank to the land owner's account. After receiving compensation, the individual land owner submits proof of ownership in the form of a land ownership statement. The implementation of compensation is in accordance with Law Number 2 of 2012 concerning Land Procurement for Development in the Public Interest with Presidential Regulation Number 71 of 2012 concerning Implementation of Land Procurement for Development in the Public Interest and Regulation of the Head of the Land Agency Number 5 of 2012 concerning Technical Guidelines Implementation of Land Procurement.
