Abstract

The writing of this law is titled, Exemption from Costs for People Who Cannot Afford to Register Land in East Manggarai Regency. People cannot afford to have been able to register their land because it is hindered by expensive land registration fees. The purpose of writing this law is to find out the exemption of costs for people who cannot afford the registration of land. The type of research used is normative legal research as secondary data consisting of primary legal materials in the form of legal regulations and secondary legal materials in the form of legal opinions. Based on research, it can be concluded that the exemption of costs for people who cannot afford land registration in the East Manggarai Regency has never been done individually or independently by the community. This happens because the public does not know that there is a rule of law that has been set by the government regarding the exemption of land registration fees for people who cannot afford it, namely in Law No. 5 of 1960 on Basic Rules of Agrarian Principals.
