Abstract

Telemedicine is using technology to provide health services remotely, where patients can consult directly with doctors with the help of video teleconferences. This technology has also penetrated making medical records in digital form. This is also related to the confidentiality of medical records, an obligation for health workers and hospitals where recording and documentation must be done thoroughly. Start-up companies in medical health applications must also maintain the confidentiality of patients' identities and medical records registered in the system, even though non-medical personnel work in that field. The purpose of this study is to find out the practice of protecting the confidentiality of electronic medical records in Indonesia and how the regulatory provisions relate to digital�based medical records managed by non-medical personnel where the research method used in this study is normative legal research using data collection techniques in the form of literature and data analysis where the deduction method is used to draw conclusions that contain specific statements. With this research, the authors hope to provide an overview of the practice of using medical records in Telemedicine practices in Indonesia, especially for non-medical workers who work in healthcare facilities regarding the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of medical records so that the implementation of Telemedicine practices can take place better and can be accounted for
