Abstract

Economic exploitation of children as an artist. The problem formulation in this case is how to qualify, what factors drives and who are the parties take responsibilities for the economic exploitation of children as an artist. The purpose of this study is to identify qualifications, what is the driving factors and the parties who take responsible for the economic exploitation of children as an artist with a kind of normative research and qualitative data analysis methods. Nowadays, many parents make the children to be an artist with the reasons as talent development, realizing it or not, they have exploitative their children for economic reason. On the contrary, the parties that should take the responsibility and supervise and protect children from any abuse of child rights issues think that some economic exploitation and abuses is natural, even they support it. It is based on consideration that the child is parents’. The conclusion of this topic is that the child can qualify as victims of economic exploitation as an artist if their rights is being ignore, they can not spend what they have got and was tortured or oppressed, it is usually due to several factors namely the media boom, parents’ ambitious, and the economic difficulty that wanted the instant ways. Therefore, the parties who take the responsibilities should pay more attention to child protection issues seriously.
