Abstract
The problem in this study is related to the supervisory role of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia on consumer protection for the increase in electricity bills of PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero). This study aims to determine the review of the Consumer Protection Law on the increase in consumer electricity bills of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) and to find out the role of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia and the obstacles faced by the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia on the increase in consumer electricity bills of PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero). This research uses a type of normative research with a case and legislation approach. The collection of legal materials is carried out by means of literature studies and interviews of resource persons. The result of this study is that PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) as a business actor does not inform consumers about perkHw electricity tariffs and does not educate consumers to independently calculate the cost of electricity consumed.
