Abstract

Children when enter the school phase, of course, they wear school uniforms, but in this case, schools must not sell uniforms and must not require parents/guardians to buy new uniforms every school year. Every year starting from 2021 to 2023, violations of wearing school uniforms, especially SMAN/SMKN committed by educators, education staff and school committees, have increased. The purpose of this study is to determine the form of supervision carried out by the Ombudsman Republik Indonesia Perwakilan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in supervising the procurement of uniform clothing in SMAN / SMKN along with obstacles and solutions. The method used in this study is a type of normative legal research using laws and regulations as the main data and interviews. The results of this study show that the supervision carried out by the Ombudsman Republik Indonesia Perwakilan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta in supervising the procurement of uniform clothing is quite optimal, but the obstacle is because there is still an assumption that procuring uniform clothes is a tradition, overlapping sanctions enforcement, and less than optimal internal supervision carried out by Dinas Pendidikan, Pemuda dan Olahraga Pemerintah Daerah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.
