Abstract

The thesis is entitled "Efforts to Settle Bad Credit by Rural Credit Banks by Using Collateral Taken Over at PT BPR NAGA Gianyar Bali." Bad credit is a condition where the debtor cannot pay off his debt to the creditor. This problem often occurs in the banking world and most recently occurred at the Rural Credit Bank NAGA Gianyar Bali, then the problem was resolved by taking over the collateral. From this background, the author raises the problem formulation of how to implement repossessed collateral to resolve bad loans at PT BPR NAGA Gianyar Bali. To answer the problem formulation, the author uses empirical research methods, namely research that focuses on social facts or field facts. As a result, the author finds that repossessed collateral can be a solution to the problem of bad credit but must fulfill the auction stage twice and if after the auction it is not sold then the BPR has the right to take over the collateral in the sense of buying it from the debtor to cover the debt. Then, the collateral is resold at a price outside the market. The conclusion that the author comes to is that the implementation of handling bad credit by taking over the collateral is the right step because it does not violate the mortgage rights rules. and in accordance with Bank procedures
