Abstract
The progress of a nation cannot be separated from the quality of human resources owned by the country, and the quality of human resources is related to the quality of education, so there is no other choice for our country if we want our country to become a developed country. To become a developed country, teachers must be the focus in all aspects, to improve the professional abilities of teachers, a policy was issued by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, namely the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Regulation No. 26 of 2022 concerning Education of “Guru Penggerak” was born. This research, which uses normative methods, is conducted with a focus on the facts of the suitability of the implementation of Permendikbudristek No. 26 of 2022 in several State Junior High Schools in Purwokerto as well as the obstacles faced and the solutions carried out by collecting interview data from sources. The results of the study prove that the implementation process has met some of the needs to improve education through the selection process, the assessment process, the process of education methods, supervision and quality assurance, in the budget and the process of driving teacher certificates; There are also obstacles, internal factors of teachers, and difficulties in adjusting the selection method for participants in the “Guru Penggerak” Education Program, and during implementation many were found to be obstacles and supporters education of “Guru Penggerak”.
