Abstract

This legal writing is entitled Supervision Efforts by the Medicine and Food Supervisory Institution (BPOM) on Unlicensed Skincare in E-Commerce According to BPOM Regulation number 8 of 2020. The problem that begins from how BPOM regulates the distribution of illegal skincare sold via ecommerce and what form it takes. supervision carried out by BPOM in overcoming the circulation of illegal skincare sold in e-commerce, so this legal writing contains an understanding of the form of supervision carried out by BPOM and in overcoming the circulation of illegal skincare sold in e-commerce. The method that used in this research is empirical legal research. The analytical method used in this research is analysis by understanding and compiling sentences that have been arranged systematically, while for the reasoning process in drawing conclusions the inductive reasoning method is used. The results of this research are that the consumer protection carried out by BPOM in protecting consumers against non-licensed skincare products in e-commerce is not completely efficient, because there are still several skincare products that do not have distribution permits and there are still people who are victims of nonlicensed skincare
