Abstract

Air pollution caused by two-wheeled motorized vehicles in the city of Yogyakarta is currently a serious challenge. The problem in this research is the decline in air quality in the city of Yogyakarta due to the large amount of smoke emitted by motorized vehicles, especially two-wheeled vehicles on Jenderal Sudirman Street. The problem is what is the role of DLH Kota Yogyakarta in dealing with air pollution caused by two-wheeled motorized vehicles in the City of Yogyakarta. Research data was collected by means of interviews, based on data analysis, DLH Kota Yogyakarta experienced problems in controlling air pollution caused by two-wheeled motorized vehicles in Yogyakarta City because there were many motorbike users and motorbike users did not know that there were regulations regarding the application of motorized vehicles quality emissions standards. The author's suggestion is that the DLH Kota Yogyakarta should continue to monitor the control of air pollution caused by motorized vehicles and that motorbike users should pay more attention to the vehicles they use and understand the existing regulations.
